BIKETOWN for All offers an affordable, accessible, and fun transportation option for everyone, regardless of income. Our equity program allows those who qualify for certain state or federal assistance programs to sign up and receive a discounted BIKETOWN membership.

What is BIKETOWN for All?

BIKETOWN for All provides Portland-area residents 16 and older living on low incomes with a reduced-cost BIKETOWN membership. Members will also have access to bike safety education and a free helmet.

The program is a partnership between the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT), Lyft, participating affordable housing communities, social service agencies, and local nonprofits serving Portlanders with low incomes.

How much does a BIKETOWN for All membership cost?

A BIKETOWN for All membership is $0/month, includes free ebike unlocks and unlimited rides up to 60-minutes. Includes $7 in ride credits every month.

Members are encouraged to return bikes to BIKETOWN stations for free or a public bike rack for $1. Parking out of the service area will incur a $5 fee.

Who is eligible for BIKETOWN for All?

Individuals who hold Oregon Trail cards, live in affordable housing, qualify for unemployment assistance, students who receive FAFSA, or if you receive other social services you may be eligible and can sign up for a BIKETOWN for All membership online.

Do BIKETOWN for All memberships automatically renew each year?

No, BIKETOWN for All memberships do not automatically renew annually. If you’d like to continue your membership for another year, you’ll need to manually renew it. It’s easy to renew online via your personal BIKETOWN account. BIKETOWN for All members may unsubscribe at any time by emailing BIKETOWNforAll@lyft.com.
