BIKETOWN, Portland's bike share system, is perfect for commuting, spontaneous trips and for exploring. Serving 32 square miles of the city with an all electric-assist bike fleet BIKETOWN is a convenient, fun and affordable transportation option for getting around Portland.
BIKETOWN is the first all-electric bike share system in the U.S. It consists of a fleet of specially-designed, sturdy and durable ebikes that use lock-to technology to create a transportation network across the city. The bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system or locked to a public bike rack in the service area for a small fee. People use bike share to explore Portland, commute to work or school, run errands, get to appointments or social engagements, and more.
BIKETOWN is available for use 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year for a year-round healthy and environmentally-friendly transportation option.
